Hi, I like to welcome you to Ministries of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a non-denominational Christian website. The MGJC website is a Christian resource website that helps you develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. You can find a wide range of content, from inspirational and thought-provoking messages with a biblical perspective to current news from a Christian perspective, music videos, and much more.
First, my name is James Rapp. I am not a pastor of any church or a theologian. But I like to write inspirational messages from a biblical perspective. Even though I have a physical disability since birth, I believe that God can use anybody to accomplish His great plan for humanity. The Bible is filled with people who had physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual limitations. For example, in John 9, we find the story of the man born blind, whom Jesus healed, and in Acts 3, Peter healed a beggar who had a physical limitation. These testimonies can be found throughout the Holy Bible.
I began writing inspirational messages when I was home alone during the weekday. Between my high school graduation in June 2000 and my departure for vocational training school in November 2000, I spent most of my days at home alone. Although it was depressing, I spent most of my time on the computer reading the Bible using the Bible software my dad had given me. That was when I began to type my thoughts after reading the scriptures on the computer.
As I entered the vocational school at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, Virginia, that year, God opened the door for me to share my faith with one of the local churches and the campus. While I was in school there, I attended Fishersville Baptist Church. The senior pastor challenged me to share my faith and disability with his congregation. Even though I was nervous, God and friends worked with me on that challenge. On the first Sunday of April 2001, I spoke to about a hundred people using my communication device. This experience then led me to speak to WWRC faculty members.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:27, "God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty…" Don't despair if you have a disability and feel like you cannot do anything in your life. Jesus said to Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Even though I had a hard time finding a job that utilized my training, God gave me another plan where He could use me. Whether I work at my daytime job or type an inspirational message, I do the work for the Lord.
It doesn't matter if you have a disability or not; you have a choice to live the life that God gave you. I hope that this web ministry will help you develop a close relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
In Christ,
James Rapp
